AIM
This programme is designed for those who may be required to participate
in the rescue of an incapacitated worker from within a confined space.
The course uses intensive training drills to give trainees the skills
required to conduct confined rescue safely and effectively.
CONTENT
This programme will review safe working procedures for confined spaces.
Trainees will learn the knowledge and skills required to plan and execute
rescues from a variety of confined spaces. Trainees will acquire knowledge
and skills through a combination of lecture presentations, demonstrations,
and individual and team exercises. Trainees must successfully complete
written and practical testing in order to receive certification.

Practical training exercises will be conducted in the Mobile Industrial
Rescue Trainer MIRT
using the following equipment:
- Confined Space Rescue Techniques
- Stretcher
- Harness
- Self Contained Breathing Apparatus
- Supplied Air Breathing Apparatus
- Use of Equipment in Low Light

- Tripod Retrieval System
- Davit Retrieval System
- Portable Gas Detection Equipment
- Rope Rescue System
- Full Body Harness

DURATION Three (3) days
PREREQUISITES
- A registration form completed and submitted prior to the course
- Trainees would be in a good state of health and are expected to
participate in all physical training requirements.
CERTIFICATION
All persons who successfully complete the course based on the performance
standards will receive a Survival Systems Industrial certificate for
Confined Space Entry & Rescue Advanced.
